Plastic 1 : Ocean 0

There is always a lot of information in the news about landfills and how to help reduce the amount of waste, but not much about the garbage in the oceans. A big problem is plastic. The stuff doesn't go away without a fight, so it's basically all still out there... somewhere. Have you ever heard of the North Pacific Gyre? No? We hadn't either. Basically there is a big amount of garbage floating around out there. We're talking big: Texas big.
